Steve Lydon

Name: Steve Lydon
Job Role: Cad Manager
Joined Guardian: 1987
Background:
Steve first came to Guardian way back in 1987 whilst still at school, to complete his Work Experience as a trainee draughtsman. This mutually beneficial placing ensured his return to Guardian in a part-time capacity while he continued his schooling, continuing to prepare drawings for engineers on site.
Steve eventually took up a full-time position at Guardian in 1990, initially taking up duties on the drawing board. He was then asked to take on the challenge of the then-new CAD software, utilising it to overhaul the drawing office, and the production of drawings and site plans.
Steve has remained at Guardian ever since, and has been ever-present through its evolution as a company, particularly its expansion during recent years.
Having briefly combined CAD and I.T. duties from 2002-2005 as the company expanded and evolved, Steve now operates solely as AutoCAD Manager, working closely with engineers and designers alike.
