Ellen Wilkinson School
Description:
Guardian ecl has just started work on the annexe to the Ellen Wilkinson primary school in Newham. The £300,000 contract is for electrical and mechanical installations. These include lighting, power and heating systems. The new building has an open plan design and will house classrooms, early learning and a creche. One of the challenges when working on an open plan design such as this is to hide the containment for the electrical and data installations.
Project co-ordinator Eamonn Long told us that Guardian ecl’s experience in similar projects has helped provide many solutions when working open plan like this. In addition to the electrical and data
installation an access control system is being installed.
