The apartments at Clandon House are owned by the University of London and are utilised for student accommodation during term-time.
Spread over three floors, the nine apartments comprise five bedsits per apartment, with each apartment having a bathroom, toilet and kitchen, in addition to the five bedrooms and communal areas.

The Guardian remit was for the refurbishment of the apartments, work which had to be started and completed within the summer break, out of term-time, so as not to cause any disruption to the students.

Works included the replacement of the kitchen, toilet and bathroom fixtures:
Kitchens
- New boiler
- New kitchen units
- New worktops
- New sink and fittings
- New vinyl flooring
- General decoration

Toilets
- White-rock walls
- New toilet and cistern
- New vinyl flooring

Bathrooms
- White-rock walls
- New bath
- New sink and fittings
- New sprinkler showers
- Bathroom accessories, mirrors, etc.

General
- New carpet to hallway in each apartment
- New carpet to all bedrooms
Guardian ECL managed the whole installation & works to the high standards expected by the client, all within the critical project time-frame
The Clandon House Refurbishment was completed on schedule, and re-opened on 14th September in time for the return of the students for the 2009/10 term.
