The store was previously trading as a Somerfield prior to its acquisition by Waitrose. Guardian removed most of the redundant electrical services within the store and installed new systems as below.

Guardian also installed all of the site temporary electrics for RG Group, the project builders.

The working period was over a 3 week period, on days. Guardian also had restrictions due to noise, limiting the working time during the day and also at weekends.
Guardian installed a new Mains Panel on the 1st floor which incorporated a generator change-over, and also switches to run the store. New remote panels were also installed, as needed.
We also installed a new H&V Panel on the first floor, within the H&V plant room.
Systems installed
- Fire Alarm
- CCTV
- Intruder Alarm
- Branch Management System (BMS)
- H&V
- Refrigeration
- Public Address
- New Comms Room and Epos Data System, including 2 No. UPS's & Cat 6 Telephones
- Front of House Lighting, installed to Waitrose MK V specification

The job ran very smoothly on site due to an outstanding site team, and the site Forman Lee Sellwood, carrying out all tasks to a high standard.
Waitrose Haslemere was opened on schedule, on Thursday, 7th May 2009.
The Guardian remit was for the full electrical package which included full design; the design remit was taken from a scope issued via the client’s electrical consultant, Synergy.
